FRANKLIN COUNTY — Three people were killed Friday night in a head-on collision just north of Sesser, near the Jefferson County line.
Franklin County authorities say 75-year-old Richard Kiselewski, of Waltonville, was taking his 6-year-old twin granddaughters, of Scheller, for ice cream, when their Chevy Cobalt was involved in a head-on crash with a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 19-year-old TJay Klamm, of DuQuoin.
Franklin County Coroner Mary Leffler pronounced Klamm, Kiselewski and Sierra Hess dead at the scene.
The other twin sister was airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Franklin County Coroner’s Office are investigating the accident.
