MARION COUNTY — A 22-year-old Salem man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Marion County Court to felony burglary, in connection with a vehicle burglary last month.
Justin Simmons was sentenced to 4-years probation on the Class 2 felony and 90-days in jail, as well as ordered to complete drug and alcohol treatment and pay court costs.
Simmons was arrested in August after a Salem woman caught him inside her vehicle and chased after him. The woman was able to provide police with a good description of Simmons, who reportedly admitted to breaking into at least 25 vehicle over the last year or more.
He has remained in the Marion County Jail since his August 11 arrest, with bail set at $20,000.
