WAMAC — A weekend traffic stop landed a 27-year-old Odin man in the Marion County Jail on an outstanding warrant for burglary.

Kirk Johnston was arrested after the vehicle he was driving in Wamac was stopped and the deputy conducting the stop discovered the warrant for his arrest. Bail for Johnston was set in the Marion County arrest warrant at $250,000.

Johnston’s 21-year-old passenger Kellie Whitehouse, of Centralia, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia when a search of her purse allegedly revealed a drug pipe.

Both Johnston and Whitehouse were taken to the Marion County Jail where they remained Sunday night.
