CARBONDALE — Carbondale Police continue to investigate a couple of shootings that happened Saturday.
According to the police report, officers were on foot patrols in the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. when they heard gunshots and found a gunshot victim.
The investigation revealed the victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound as well as the identification of the three possible suspects.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment.
He is in stable condition.
The identities of the suspects cannot be revealed at this time due to the continuing active investigation.
Shortly after 1:10 p.m., police responded to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in reference to a gunshot victim. The victim is receiving treatment and is considered stable.
The investigation into this incident continues. Police are trying to determine where this shooting happened.
