Everist Donald pleaded guilty to Class 4 felony charges of aggravated fleeing police at more than 21 miles per hour over the limit; leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury; and an amended charge of unlawful restraint.

Records show Donald failed to stop for a deputy who noticed the wrong license plates were allegedly on the vehicle.

A high-speed pursuit occurred through Trenton and continued on Illinois Route 161. Near New Baden, the driver of the suspect vehicle attempted to pass other vehicles on the right, went into a ditch and overturned in a field.

Two passengers in the car were ejected and injured.

Donald fled on foot and area residents were warned during a manhunt for him to not approach him if he was seen.

Police searched that area for several hours and eventually found Donald, who was taken into custody without incident.
