WASHINGTON COUNTY — Illinois State Police are investigating a two-vehicle hit and run on that occurred Friday night on Interstate 64 in Washington County.

According to ISP, around 10:54 p.m. Friday night, two vehicles were traveling on I-64 near mile marker 43.5, when a 2005 Chevy Silverado truck rear ended a Toyota Camry. The Camry traveled off the road and overturned.

The driver of the car 41-year-old Raymond McMackin, of North Carolina, was uninjured. His passenger 37-year-old Danielle L. Leaver, of Florida, was transported to a Washington County hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Chevy truck fled the scene and approximately one mile from the accident abandoned the truck in the median. The driver of the truck has not been located.
