SALEM — An armed robbery was reported Sunday night at the Nifty Swifty’s station on West Main Street in Salem.

According to Salem Police Chief Sean Reynolds, the incident happened just before the station was to close at 7 p.m. Sunday.  Reynolds says the attendant described the robber as wearing a mask, jeans and a black jacket. The suspect reportedly indicated a weapon, but did not display a weapon.

The suspect reportedly fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident remains under investigation, and Reynolds says they intend to review video surveillance and will likely look into video surveillance from neighboring businesses.
