CENTRALIA — A Thanksgiving Day disturbance led to the arrest yesterday of a 46-year-old Dayton, Ohio woman on multiple charges including aggravated battery to a police officer.

According to Centralia police, Dreaka Gardner was arrested after they responded to a complaint from a home in the 800 block of Hausler, and found Gardner’s sister holding her down to keep Gardner from attacking others.

Police say that when Garner was allowed to get up, she began screaming at her relatives and had to be held back by police.

As she was being taken into custody, Gardner allegedly began struggling, and kicked one officer in the knee two times.

Gardner’s behavior apparently didn’t improve once she was taken to the police department, where she reportedly continued screaming and struggling even while her mugshot was being taken.

Gardner was ultimately transported to the Marion County Jail, where in addition to the charge of aggravated battery to a peace officer, she is charged with disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
