FRANKLIN COUNTY — A trial date has been set for a 33-year-old Christopher man who allegedly shot and killed his wife on Halloween at their home in Christopher.

Brian D. Pheasant has pleaded not guilty in Franklin County Court to two counts of first-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Beth A. Pheasant.

Brian Pheasant is next scheduled to appear in court Jan. 26 for a pretrial hearing. His trial is tentatively set for February 7 He remains held in the Franklin County Jail with bail set at $2 million.

Police responded to the couple’s home on Oct. 31 after receiving a 911 call. When officers arrived, they found Beth Pheasant with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
