KINMUNDY –An ATV accident claimed the life of a 60-year-old rural Kinmundy man Wednesday night.

According to the Marion County Coroner’s Office, Steven C. Meseke was riding an all-terrain-vehicle Wednesday night near his home in the 7000 block of Kinmundy road when he apparently attempted to strike a drainage ditch and lost control of his ATV.

Meseke reportedly died of a closed skull fracture injury sustained in the crash.

Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
