CENTRALIA — Centralia Police are investigating a reported armed robbery of a Domino’s pizza delivery driver early Thursday morning.
According to police reports, the driver was making a delivery in the 600 block of North Walnut when a black male approached him and displayed what he believed was a gun.
The driver reported being struck in the face with an unknown object before the suspect took his money and cell phone and then fled on foot.
The driver stopped a passerby to call 911 and report the robbery. A search of the area failed to discover the suspect, who is described as being in his early 20s, and wearing a gray hoodie.
Police have noted similarities between Thursday robbery of the pizza delivery driver and the reported armed robberies of taxi cab drivers in Centralia.
