FRANKLIN COUNTY — Authorities in Franklin County along with Illinois State Police reported three inmates escaped from a private transport bus Friday afternoon in West City.

Law enforcement identified the three inmates as Randall Napier, Alonzo Douglas Young, and Charles Kelly. It was unknown if they were armed but they should be considered dangerous.

WSIL-TV reports that according to South Dakota Department of Corrections records, Alonzo Young was serving consecutive 22.5 year and 30 year sentences for first degree robbery and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. 

They say that according to the Argus Leader, Young was serving time on the robbery conviction earlier this year when he attacked a correctional officer with a homemade knife.

Reports indicate Kelly has been captured in Kentucky but the other two men remain at large.
