CARBONDALE — Carbondale Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting that happened early Saturday morning in the 700 block of East College Street.

When police got to the scene just after 2:40 a.m. they found one person with a  fatal gunshot wound. Police say the victim is not being identified until family members are notified.

The suspect in this case is described as a heavy-set black male with a beard, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a hat.
