CENTRALIA — Centralia police are investigating multiple reports late Sunday night of shots fired on Rhodes Street.

According to Detective Joe Rizzo, the calls came in around 11:45 p.m. Sunday saying approximately 12 shots had been fired.

Officers did locate a number of shell casings in the street and possibly one house with a bullet hole. However, no witnesses came forward to provide officers with information.

Sunday’s reported incident came a week after a similar incident in that same area. It was around 11:40 p.m. Sunday October 1 that a “rolling gun battle” was reported on Rhodes Street.

In that incident officers again found numerous shell casings in the street and at least one house and one car with multiple bullet holes. No witnesses came forward in that incident, either.
