MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $200,000 for a 28-year-old Salem man accused of stabbing another man last week.
According to Salem police, Jerrod Hunt was arrested for allegedly stabbing 25-year-old Steven Jones, also of Salem, following a disagreement a few days earlier.
Jones reportedly went to Hunt’s home Wednesday to try and work things out when Hunt allegedly reached through the window of Jones’s van and stabbed him once in the ribs.
Jones then drove home and his wife called an ambulance. He was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment before being released.
According to police, they have recovered a knife believed to have been the weapon used.
Hunt is scheduled to next appear in court December 6. He has been formally charged with aggravated battery.
