According to reports, Quinton Upchurch did speak with deputies until they told him he was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant and needed to get out of the car.

At that point, Upchurch reportedly locked himself in the vehicle and refused to get out or roll down the window.

Deputies repeatedly warned him they would break out a window of his car, which is what ultimately happened following multiple warnings. Upchurch was then taken into custody for alleged possession of meth, resisting arrest, and on the outstanding arrest warrant.

While conducting an inventory on Upchurch’s vehicle before towing, deputies reportedly discovered a drug pipe containing a residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
