KINMUNDY — An area funeral home is changing hands on its 70th Anniversary of doing business with Louisville and Kinmundy area families.

J.W. Neal Funeral Home is being acquired by Chris and Sandra Triplett. The Tripletts will be taking over both the Louisville and Kinmundy locations on July 11, the 70th anniversary of the funeral home originally opening for business.

The Neal family has owned and operated the Louisville location since 1948 when J. Elmer Neal became the first of four generations to operate the business.

J. Elmer Neal was followed by John Neal, Jack Neal, and then Mark Neal. The current owner is Susan (Neal) Beppler.

The Kinmundy location was acquired in the early 1980s by Jack Neal.
