MARION COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that there will be various lane restrictions in each direction on Interstate 57 through Marion County starting Monday.

The restrictions are necessary for pavement repairs on the interstate throughout the county. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.

IDOT advises travelers to follow all construction signs and drive with caution through work zones.

Delays should be expected and alternate routes may be beneficial.

Work is expected to be completed in early October.
