DIX, IL — The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorists traveling on Illinois 37 north of Dix in Jefferson County of an upcoming rod closure.

Beginning Friday, April 26, 2019 at 6pm, IL-37 will be closed between Rileyville Rd. and Walnut Hill Rd. approximately 1.5 miles north of Dix, weather permitting. The road is expected to re open by 6am on Monday, April 29, 2019.

The closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a drainage structure. Motorists should seek alternate routes and message boards will be in place to alert traffic of the closure.
