SCHAUMBERG, Ill. (AP) — The Illinois Secretary of State’s office has closed a Drivers Services Facility in suburban Chicago for two weeks, and staff is being quarantined for 14 days, after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. WBBM-TV reports the Schaumburg facility will be closed until July 2.
The Secretary of State’s office says in a statement that “The Illinois Department of Public Health has been consulted and confirmed that public is not directly impacted by this situation.”
While employees at the facility are being quarantined, the Schaumburg office will be cleaned and sanitized under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
