FAIRFIELD — On Wednesday the Wayne County Health Department announced the county’s 20th positive case of COVID-19.
In a Facebook post, Fairfield Community High School said the new case was one of its athletes in football workouts, and it has suspended such workouts until July 22nd based on recommendations from various organizations and the local health department.
The school says they have been following all screening, social distancing, and mask protocol, and ask parents to monitor their athletes over the next seven days as a precaution.
All other sports who are currently conditioning will continue to do so.
