MARION COUNTY — A 40-year-old Salem man was charged Tuesday morning in Marion County Court with multiple counts of possessing child pornography.
Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony L. Phillips Monday afternoon.
Phillips was charged Tuesday morning with 10 counts Class 2 felony counts possessing child pornography depicting a victim under the age of 13.
Phillips is being held in the Marion County Jail with bail set at $75,000. He’s next scheduled to appear in court on December 7 for a preliminary hearing and a first appearance with his court-appointed attorney.
If Phillips is able to post bail, he’s prohibited from accessing the internet or having contact with anyone under the age of 18.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office advises they were not the investigating agency in the case.
