VERNON — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a double stabbing that reportedly occurred around 10:30 Thursday night.

Few details are being released at this time but they are confirming the two stabbing victims were transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia and both were then airlifted to St. Louis area hospitals.

The incident occurred at a home in the 600 block of West Vine in Vernon.

A female suspect continues to be sought. No other details are being released at this time as a suspect in the case has not been arrested.
