PATOKA — A 41-year-old Patoka man was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of a head injury suffered when he was reportedly struck with a crowbar Sunday night.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, just after 9 o’clock Sunday night, Leland Waln was struck in the head when he reportedly asked two men to not take a newer air conditioner from a home in the 200 block of East Bond in Patoka.
The two men had reportedly been given permission to remove two old air conditioning units on the property but were stopped when cutting wires to take the new unit.
The sheriff’s department continues to seek the two male subjects in the case.
