CLINTON COUNTY — A 19-year-old Wamac woman was arrested Tuesday night in connection with an alleged burglary last week.
According to Wamac police, they arrested Halley Marie Ramey during a traffic stop around 8 p.m. Tuesday at 17th Street and Cherry.
Ramey reportedly was a person of interest in a Centralia police investigation stemming from a reported break-in at a residence in the Deerwood Trailer Park and associated property damage.
She was ultimately taken to the Clinton County Jail and was charged in court Wednesday morning with Class 1 felony residential burglary and misdemeanor criminal damage to property.
Bond was set in the case at $20,000 and Ramey is prohibited from having contact with the alleged victim or her home in Deerwood Park.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled in the case for August 19 with a first appearance with a court-appointed attorney.
