CENTRALIA — The Centralia Police High-Risk Team executed a search warrant around 6 o’clock Wednesday morning at a house in the 1000 block of South Elm and arrested a 51-year-old Centralia man.

An  ILEAS Team assisted CPD with the incident that resulted in the arrest of David Hopper on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, Armed Habitual Criminal, Armed Violence, and Possession of Stolen Property.

A second subject in the house was questioned and released.

CPD informed Centralia Junior High officials of the activity as it was in close proximity to the school but the operation was completed before students arrived. The 1000 block of South Elm was temporarily closed during the action that remains under investigation.
