CLINTON COUNTY — A Clinton County judge Wednesday found a 20-year-old Trenton woman violated the terms of her bond in a reckless homicide case and increased her bond and restrictions.
Hadlee Grogan was free on a $15,000 cash bond in the 2022 case charging her in connection with a one-vehicle crash in January that claimed the life of her 14-year-old passenger Jarron Haberer.
Judge Christopher Matoush on Wednesday increased Grogan’s bond by $5,000 and ordered her to be outfitted with a SCRAM device that is like a breathalyzer for the ankle, and continuously monitors the subject for alcohol consumption.
She was additionally ordered to report daily to probation until the SCRAM device is attached and to allow authorities to confirm there is no alcohol in her home.
Grogan is facing two Class 2 felonies for aggravated DUI resulting in a fatal crash, and Class 3 felony reckless homicide with a motor vehicle. Court information says the evening of January 29, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a crash north of Trenton on Sportsman Road near Rutz Road.
The sheriff’s said Haberer was ejected from the vehicle in a “rollover type crash.” He later died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
A December 14 pre-trial hearing is next scheduled in the case.
