SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Treasurer’s Office has announced the largest PayPal account returned to an owner to date.

According to Treasurer Michael Frerichs, last week, his office returned $121,000 to the owner through the Unclaimed Property program.

More than 340,000 PayPal accounts remain to be claimed. You can look for a lost account at icash.illinoistreasurer.gov.
