CENTRALIA — The City of Centralia has announced plans to help residents with their clean-up efforts following Saturday’s storms that struck the community.
The City will conduct curbside pickup starting Wednesday August 2nd through August 16th, of limbs and yard waste.
Residents should place limbs and yard waste at the front curb in manageable piles. The yard waste will not be picked up in the alley.
If possible, bundle the branches. Do not place trash, construction, or hazardous materials with the yard waste.
For those who prefer to deliver yard waste directly, the City has set up designated drop-off site at 100 Johnson Street – that’s the intersection of Johnson and Walnut.
This site will be open from August 2nd – August 11th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday and is for Centralia residents only.
You should be prepared to provide proof of address such as an ID or utility bill with a Centralia address. Non-residents and contractors will not be allowed to dispose of yard waste.
Also, d not dump yard waste outside of the fenced area at any time.
Residents are also reminded that August 5th and 6th and August 12th and 13th are scheduled burn dates from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Only yard waste can be burnt during this specified time.
