CLINTON COUNTY — Clinton County has issued an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old Centralia man wanted in connection with a shooting last weekend.
According to court records, Jonathon Hunt is wanted on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated battery, and aggravated domestic battery.
The warrant seeks to hold Hunt without bond in line with the new SafeT Act Law.
Centralia police continue to withhold details surrounding the shooting, only to say it was part of a domestic disagreement with a family member in an open in the 500 block of North James in Centralia.
While authorities haven’t released the identity of the victim, they do say he was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hunt’s truck was found abandoned near Routes 161 and 37 later that evening, and an unsuccessful manhunt ensued in that area.
Multiple agencies responded to the area to assist in the search, bringing K9 units and drones.
