CLAY COUNTY — Illinois State Police are investigating a weekend motor vehicle crash involving pedestrians.

According to their reports, around 7:04 p.m. Saturday, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Hwy 50 near Big Four Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving two pedestrians.

Upon deputies’ arrival, it was determined that both pedestrians were deceased. The sheriff’s office contacted the Illinois State Police to investigate the incident.
