UPDATE: The Clinton County Coroner’s office has released the name of the 28-year-old man killed Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash near Jolliff Bridge Road.
According to Coroner Phillip Moss, Logan M. Mueller was pronounced dead on the scene at 9:56 a.m. Wednesday.
Moss says a trash collector came across Mueller’s wrecked motorcycle on Linn Road and called 9-1-1. Centralia police were first on the scene as Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies were too far away at the time.
Mueller’s body was discovered .2 miles from Jolliff Bridge Road on Linn Road. It appeared the crash had occurred much earlier that morning.
CLINTON COUNTY — Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal crash discovered Wednesday morning on Jolliff Bridge Road.
The call reporting the crash came in shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday, from a passerby who found a motorcycle crash on Jolliff Bridge Road at Linn Road. The caller said the driver was lying in the road and it wasn’t clear if the driver was conscious and breathing. Closer inspection, however, resulted in the Clinton County Coroner’s Office being called to the scene.
The driver was reportedly a 28-year-old man from Centralia. His name is being withheld pending family notification. No other information is available at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
