EAST ST. LOUIS — A 31-year-old Centralia woman was sentenced Thursday in federal court to more than 11 years in prison after she’d earlier pleaded guilty to both counts of a 2021 federal indictment accusing her of distributing meth.
Ricosha Young was arrested in 2021 on the two-count federal indictment that also charged her brother Ricardo Little.
According to court records, Young arranged for people to purchase drugs from her brother. But on one occasion the buyer happened to be a confidential source working with law enforcement.
Warrants were subsequently issued for Young and Little’s arrests. Little pleaded guilty in April of 2023 to knowingly distributing 50 grams of methamphetamine ice in Centralia.
Little was sentenced in July to more than eight years in federal prison.
Young was sentenced Thursday in East St. Louis federal court to 135 months each to be served concurrently.
