MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon City Council will address multiple items during their regular meeting tonight including two items related to improvements at Veterans Park Lake.

The first item will ask the council for permission to seek bids for a pedestrian bridge at the lake and also for permission to purchase two aerator fountains for the lake.

City Manager Mary Ellen Bechtel will present a request for Ninth Street from Main Street to Harrison Street from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on January 27 for the Jefferson CEO Program.

An ordinance will be presented for the approval of a conditional use for a kennel at 2714 Broadway for Little Paws of Mt. Vernon.

The items and others will be taken up at 7 o’clock tonight in the City Council Chambers of City Hall at 1100 Main Street in Mt. Vernon.
