CENTRALIA — The City of Centralia is asking water customers to conserve water on Wednesday.
According to City officials, crews will be conducting maintenance of water transmission lines on Wednesday. Due to this maintenance, the amount of water in storage will be reduced.
Officials are requesting customers to conserve water starting at 7 a.m. on February 28th and for the next 12 hours, until 7 p.m., while the maintenance is completed and the reserves in storage are replenished.
Everyone is asked to limit non-essential water use such as laundry or washing vehicles during the 12-hour period. As usual, any broken water lines should be reported immediately to the City between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling 618-533-7623 or by calling the non-emergency number after hours at 618-533-7602.
