CENTRALIA — Not all fire calls on Monday were grass or field fires. Firefighters from Centralia City, Centralia Fire Protection District and Sandoval Fire responded to a fire call early Monday night at Kaskaskia Workshop on Swan Avenue in the Centralia industrial loop.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported smoke showing from the building.

The workshop reports the fire was in their commercial laundry building that is separate from their main building. The building was unoccupied at the time due to the hour and no injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation but the extent of damage has not been released at this time.
