MOUNT VERNON — The City of Mt. Vernon says starting Tuesday, May 28, and running through Friday, June, 1st, the Union Pacific Railroad will be conducting crossing repairs that will result in Liberty Street being closed between Shawnee Street and Rackaway Street.

Detours will be set up. For Liberty Street, please use Shawnee Street to Broadway Street. Alternatively, you can take Illinois 15 to Liebengood Lane to Perkins Street.
