CARRIER MILLS – Police in Carrier Mills say a man suspected to be involved in a recent home invasion and attack on two Carrier Mills residents is now in custody.

According to Police Chief Scott Isaacs, Carrier Mills Police and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office participated in a joint detail which led to the arrest of 24-year-old Tyrese D. Isbell of Carrier Mills.

Isbell was taken into custody near the Elkville Dollar General after a short foot pursuit.

Isbell has been charged with Home Invasion – a class X felony, Domestic Battery, Battery, Endangering the Life/Health of a Child, and two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.

Isbell is currently lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
