
Dean Edward Linder, age 71 of Salem, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice house in Evansville, Indiana. Dean was born on October 5, 1953 in Salem, Illinois, the son of Lowell Dean and Irene Josephine (Dodson) Linder.
Dean is survived by his wife Lynette Linder of Salem, two daughters, Jamie Watson and husband Rodney of Salem, and Dorene Donaldson and husband Sammy of Zeigler; siblings, Ivan Linder of Salem, Linda Woods of Odin, Mike Linder and wife Angel of Salem, Ronald Linder of Salem, Donald Linder Sr. and girlfriend Jessie of Salem, and Jackie Griffin of Salem; grandchildren, Britney Altom and husband Keith Carpenter, Courtney Frazier and husband Jason Lazaris, Blake Frazier, Steven Whitney, Dillon Donaldson, Kylee Donaldson, Kolton Donaldson, Kenzi Donaldson; great grandchildren, Addilyn, Maddilyn, Ryder, Myles, Ava, Olivia, Athena, Brantley, and Ares; and a sister in-law, Dawn Linder of Iuka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Irene; and a brother, David Allen Linder Dean worked in the oil fields for several years. He later worked at N.A.L. in Salem and retired from there after 20 years.
Funeral services for Dean Edward Linder will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral home.
