MT. VERNON, IL — A Mt. Vernon man appeared for his detention hearing this week after being arrested on a Jefferson County warrant for Possession of Child Pornography. The arrest of 21-year-old Dakota R. Martin followed a cybertip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in November. Investigators obtained multiple search warrants, including one for Martin’s home in Mt. Vernon, where electronic devices were seized. Martin’s motion and preliminary hearings are set for next Tuesday at 2 p.m. Pre-trial release has been denied.
