Scott Steven Moore, 53, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:58 pm March 18, 2025 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born February 25, 1972 in Park Ridge, Illinois to Monty and Julie (Dobson) Moore.

Scott is survived by his parents, Monty and Julie Moore; siblings, Michael Moore and wife, Aurora and Dawn Owens and husband, Terry; nieces and nephews, Mikaelah Moore, Matthew Moore and wife, Adrianna, Zane Owens, and Channing Owens; great-niece and nephew, Athena Moore and Elias Moore; and his beloved dog, Bella.

Scott is also survived by his former wife, Julie Ann Rombough and her family; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alex Jines and wife, Janice, John Hayes and wife, Jennifer, and Jeff Rombough and wife, Lora; and nieces and nephews, Sundee Martin and husband, Dale, Derk King and husband, Carlos, Aaron Dillon and wife, Ria and family, Ryland Rombough and wife, Jenna and family, Mark Hayes, Tony Hayes, Zach Jines, and Jake Jines.

Scott was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Kirk Cemetery in Ina, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Scott’s honor to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
