CENTRALIA — Radio Shack has announced that their Centralia location is one of 552 stores nationwide slated for closure.

The closures are part of the company’s recent bankruptcy filing. The Fairview Park Plaza location is one of 14 Radio Shack stores in Illinois on the closure list.

According to the company, the stores on the list have the lowest sales numbers and highest rent.

This is the second time that Radio Shack has sought bankruptcy protection but the Centralia location avoided being on the last list of closures.
