JEFFERSON COUNTY — The 25-year-old Engergy man charged in connection with the vehicular collision that killed a Mt. Vernon teen may receive a bond reduction.
The defense attorney for Cole Stevens plans to seek the reduction of his client’s $250,000 bond.
Stevens faces Class 2 aggravated DUI resulting in death, Class 4 aggravated DUI resulting in bodily harm, and misdemeanor DUI of any amount of drug.
The June 11th collision on Interstate 57 claimed the life of 18-year-old Emma Caserotti and injured her passenger 18-year-old Tristen Sharp.
A bond hearing and arraignment for Stevens will be held August 1st at 1:30 p.m. Until that time, Stevens is being held at the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $250,000.
