FAYETTE COUNTY — Five people are in the Fayette County Jail on charges stemming from a burglary investigation by by Vandalia Police Department.

Vandalia Police reports state that officers responded to the 200 block of North Fifth Street early Tuesday morning for a report of a burglary where several items were reportedly stolen.

Two juveniles—a 16-year-old Vandalia juvenile and a 17-year-old West Frankfort juvenile—were both arrested on pending charges of residential burglary, theft of over $500, and criminal damage to property.
