JUNCTION CITY — A 56-year-old Junction City man was injured Friday morning when the dump truck he was working on at home ran over him.

William Howell was reportedly working on the starter solenoid of the truck when he crawled under the back passenger tire. The truck had apparently been left in gear and rolled backward over Howell.

He was reportedly conscious and alert when Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene. He was transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.
