According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, they arrested Joshua M. Moheit for alleged driving while license suspended, aggravated unlawful restraint and obstructing justice.
They say their office received a report around 1 a.m. December 24, from the Casey’s General Store in Louisville, that a man had just been in the store and told them he was being held hostage by a man in a silver truck.
Witnesses told the sheriff’s deputy that the alleged victim told them the man in the truck had threatened him with a weapon. The deputy later located a truck matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. Moheit was taken into custody without incident.
He was taken to the Clay County Jail where he remains with bail set at $40,000.
