FAYETTE COUNTY — Two more subjects were arrested in connection with an alleged violent Tuesday home invasion in Brownstown, with one being released later in the day and charges dropped.
Effingham police arrested 21-year-old Jacob Neal and 20-year-old Anthony Bezroukoff Friday morning on warrants charging them with Class X home invasion causing bodily injury, Class 3 felony aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm, and Class 4 felony criminal trespass.
Charges against Neal were dropped later in the day and he was immediately released.
Bezroukoff, of Effingham, is charged along with 19-year-old Brenden Byrum, of Greenup, and 24-year-old Jordan Springer, of Beecher City.
Byrum was arrested Wednesday and appeared in court on the charges Thursday.
Springer has not yet been arrested but is facing the same charges and accusations as the other three.
The three are accused of entering the Brownstown home of Blake Sefton on Tuesday and beating him.
Bail for the two defendants in custody has been set at $35,000 each and they have been advised of the charges against them and the possible penalties if convicted.
