ZION, Ill. (AP) — No charges will be filed in the fatal shooting of a man who pulled a gun on a federal agent in Lake County.

The Lake County state’s attorney says 19-year-old Dishon McBride was shot last March after he tapped on a car window with a gun. He apparently didn’t know that an agent conducting surveillance was in the car in Zion.

The agent responded by shooting McBride, whose face was covered with a bandanna.

State’s Attorney Michael Nerheim says Andrea Warne “acted reasonably and appropriately.” She works for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and was working with others to arrest a woman accused of sexual assault.

The prosecutor says documents collected in the investigation will be posted to his website.
