CENTRALIA — According to Centralia police, around 5 a.m. Sunday, 41-year-old Cortney Smith, of Centralia said she was traveling 90 miles per hour and fleeing a gunman who was pursuing her in another vehicle when she ran off South Poplar Street and sheared one of the columns outside our building.
Her vehicle ultimately came to a stop just outside our front doors and was wedged between the east side of our building and the remaining columns under our balcony.
Police do not believe there was any car with a gunman.
