Numbers of COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Clinton County, with health officials on Monday reporting five new positive tests in county residents.
The new cases bring Clinton County’s total cases to 228, with 162 of those having been released from isolation, 47 remaining under home quarantine, two remain hospitalized, and 17 have died.
Marion County on Tuesday reported a new positive case, bringing its total number of cases to 63, with 55 of those having been released from isolation.
The latest Marion County resident to test positive is a woman in her 70s who is reportedly doing well in isolation at home.
Jefferson County reports only one active case at this time, with a total of 107 positive test results. 92 residents have been released from isolation and 14 have died.
Fayette County continues to report 23 positive cases, with 19 of those having recovered and three who have died.
Washington County continues to report zero active cases at this time, with 19 residents who have tested positive.
Statewide Monday, health officials announced 462 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease, including 26 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 137,224 cases, including 6,671 deaths, in 101 counties in Illinois.
Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 18,219 specimens for a total of 1,379,003. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from June 15–June 21 is 2%.
